Our outpost is conveniently located on the Pigeon River in Hartford TN bordering the Smokies. We are the ending point for the Upper section of the Pigeon River and the beginning point for the Lower section of the Pigeon River. We have many groups that raft both sections—or split up their group so everyone rafts the section they want. Trip times can be scheduled simultaneously for groups that wish to meet at the same time, raft different sections, and return within 15 minutes of each other. Choose a Lower River time that departs 30 minutes prior to an Upper departure for this to work best.

After your trip, plan to change into dry clothes in our new changing rooms and restrooms, right on the river. We have showers and changing rooms. Check out our What to Wear page for more details and pictures of our new changing rooms!

Enjoy your day rafting with our friendly and entertaining guides and staff here for you. All of guides are trained and certified in at least CPR and First Aid, and are here to show you and your group an exciting and SAFE experience. Our goal is to be the highlight of your vacation! Let us share with you rafting memories that will last forever.

Seriously amazing. No jokes here. Our first time rafting, we are from Florida. Had a group of five including a 10 year old, we all went on one raft. December 28, right after Christmas they happened to be open because of the warn weather. Def recommend renting the wet suit. My 10 year old wasn't scared and no one fell out. SUCH A BLAST!!! Make sure you get Willis, Willies cousin from duck dynasty, he is hilarious and LOVES HIS JOB! Thanks outdoor adventures and thanks Willis!!! We will be back again for sure!!!!!!!!!

September 2015 - Went on my first-ever rafting trip with my daughter & her boyfriend. As one of the oldest folks there (almost 60), I was a bit apprehensive, but our guide, Sterling, was amazing. His water safety presentation was dead-on, with great humor interjected into a very serious topic. His knowledge of the area's history, as well as the local flora and fauna, was particularly impressive. His ability to communicate across our generations was wonderful! I felt like I was 20 again! He made the experience so much fun! I'll be back again. Also, there was a nice, shady area and a nice picnic area for my older sis and my dog to hang out in in comfort while I went on my adventure. Thank you, Sterling, for a wonderful and memorable day.

I've been rafting and canoeing multiple times but this was by far the best. The guides really make the difference by ensuring you have great quality trip. Steering and coaching you safely through the Rapids is their priority, while local history, good conversation and hillbilly humor keep you entertained during calm sections of the river. Excellent experience, I look forward to coming back and rafting with this company again.

Our guide was Willis and I can not say enough about the wonderful job he did making our first rafting experience a great one! The whole thing from beginning to end made us laugh, squeal, and feel like we were living on the edge at the same time making us feel totally safe. The team do a wonderful job from the bus ride comedy to the courteous and knowledgeable way they handle everything from checking in to finishing up. Would definitely recommend this company over any of the rest, our blue rafts were having loads more fun than the other ones passing us by. The stanleys from Kingsport tn

My wife, my 14 y/o son, and I had our first and unforgettable experience of rafting in the Upper Pigeon River, with Brando as our excellent guide! Brando was very professional and prepared us for every oncoming dips and splashes with his description of each wave. Because we anticipated each wave, we survived the perilous journey around that wild river part of Smoky Mountain, and we, in unison, "shook and baked" our paddles each time we overcame a WHIP. The price is cheap, too. The only problem is reaching their place, they need to put some signs to lead the vehicles to their spot as GPS sometimes may lost its connection. The road narrows from 2-lane to 1-lane as you get closer to them, so honk when you approach every blind corner!
